Find your perfect hideout at Blissful Getaway, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Every season here is like a beautiful painting right outside your door. In summer, the green forests of tall oaks and pines hug you close, and come fall, you're treated to a stunning show of reds, oranges, and yellows under bright skies. When evening comes, relax to the soothing sounds of nature and watch the fireflies light up the dark.
Your treehouse in Morganton is something out of a dream, with big windows and natural touches everywhere. But what really makes Blissful Getaway stand out is how perfect it is for family time. Imagine toasting marshmallows by the fire, having dinner under the stars, or enjoying movie and game nights that bring everyone closer. Each moment is set up for making memories you'll always keep.

The Space
Welcome to Blissful Getaway, our warm and welcoming log cabin! It's a special place where the charm of the woods meets modern comfort, making for a super peaceful and happy escape. Just like stepping into a fancy Treehouse, we've brought the outdoors in, so you can enjoy the beauty of nature with all the cool, modern perks you love. Want to change up the vibe? Just ask Alexa, and she'll sort it out, making everything just right for you.
We got inspired by the smart Burrowing Owl that makes cozy homes in old burrows left by other animals. So, we decided to give our basement a makeover, turning it into a fun Game and TV Lounge where anyone, no matter their age, can relax and have a good time.
Indoor Living Spaces
This spacious retreat accommodates multi-generational families or several traveling together. Keep and eye out for the owls we've hidden in its coziest corners awaiting discovery.
Living Room: Traditional log cabin features and stone accents, offering scenic views and comfy leather seating by the gas fire.
Game Lounge: Exciting indoor entertainment including air hockey and shuffleboard, with a vibrant mural backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Bar Seating: Accommodates four, set against picturesque mountain views.
Reading Nook: Doubles as an extra Twin bed, providing a cozy spot for relaxation.
Entertainment Hub: 75” Smart TV with plush leather sectionals and ample throw blankets for cozy movie nights.
Guest Access
Guests will be able to access the property in its entirety, indoors, and all outdoor spaces. Please note there is NO SWIMMING allowed in the nearby pond.
To access the property from the drive, guests must climb a set of four stairs. The upper floor and basement are also accessed via staircases.

The stocked coffee bar offers a delightful morning ritual with a selection of favorite brews and blends.
Hot Tub
Indulge in relaxation in the private hot tub, letting the bubbling water wash away your cares

There are plenty of hiking trails right off the property, so head out but be prepared to catch a glimpse of Big Foot!

At Blissful Getaway, you'll find two amazing King Bedrooms waiting for you! Each room has its own special touch, filled with comfy furniture and cool things just for you. Imagine sitting by a warm, crackling fireplace or catching up on your favorite shows on a Smart TV—our rooms have it all! Whether you're lounging in super soft bed sheets in the morning or chilling out after a day full of fun, these cozy spots are perfect for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.
Climb up to the Loft, our magical hideaway, surrounded by stunning views of the forest. It's like stepping into a fairytale where kids and grown-ups find their happy place. Picture yourself swinging gently to sleep on a Queen Bed that hangs like a swing, or snuggling up in one of the two Twin Beds that feel just right. Big windows let the sunshine in and give you a front-row seat to nature's beauty.
Imagine reading your favorite stories by the light of a cozy lamp, or feeling like you're in a treehouse adventure, all while floating on a queen bed in the air! And with lots of toys and games around, there's never a dull moment. The Loft is a special spot for everyone to have fun and relax in their own way.
Head down to the ground floor, and you'll find a calm and cozy King Bedroom waiting for you. It's like a little hideaway, decorated with cute, rustic touches and tucked under the trees, making it the perfect spot to get away from all the noise and busyness. There's a full bathroom right there for you, and even laundry facilities, so everything you need is close at hand. After a day of fun and exploring, this is the peaceful spot where you can relax and get a good night's sleep, all refreshed for what's next.

But the adventure doesn't end there. With a built-in slide from deck to forest floor, under-deck Swings, and Chair Swings, outdoor excitement awaits. Portable hammocks beckon for tranquil respites among the trees or by the trickling stream, offering serene escapes amidst nature's embrace.

Other Things To Note
A strong Wi-Fi connection is available, though cell phone service may be unreliable. WiFi calling/texts are supported, and a landline is provided for emergencies.
Amenities for toddlers and infants include pack'n plays, booster/high chairs, and toys suitable for children over three.
Pet-friendly features include a dog bed, water bowls, and waste bags, with treats and shampoo provided. Dogs should be kenneled when unattended.
The property operates on a compost-only basis due to its delicate mountain septic system, with a bear-safe bin available for waste disposal.
The pond, while picturesque, is off-limits for swimming as it's private property.
Many devices on the property are "smart" and can be controlled via Alexa or remotes for added convenience.

Our family has visited the Blue Ridge Mountains for summer vacation for many years and we've always dreamed of owning our own little piece of paradise in the area!
Blissful Burrow is that dream come to life. We've put a lot of love and care into the home to make it a wonderful place for a family getaway. We love relaxing on the porch while watching the trees sway and just listen to nature around us. The location is perfect for being remote yet close enough to area attractions!
The home is just a drive to many local waterfalls, hiking trails, shopping in Blue Ridge and river activities. We're excited to make plenty more family memories and are happy to be able to offer Blissful Burrow for you to make memories in as well.
